A transgenic model containing the complete human p55 TNF receptor gene by knock-in (KI) with flanking region. This model develops normally and does not show any pathology. It shows normal resistance to Listeria challenge, and has a normal splenic structure.
The hup55 TNF receptor KI model can be used in a variety of induced models (CIA, LPS/D-gal, Dextra Sulphate Sodium- IBD), as well as in combination with our human TNF driven spontaneous models of human disease. It is a unique model to test drugs and biological reagents against the human p55 receptor.
